Austin House

Upstate NY | Concept
This house, one of a few new projects to arise from our offshoot company: Madco3d was inspired by the contemporary movement: the Tiny House. However, whereas most of the houses in this genre trends towards the idea of substituting experience with technology, [virtual space supplanting real space] and/or mobility over fixed object. However our approach, also designed to take advantage of our unique printing process, attempts to create a small space that vacillates between moments of privacy and publicity, both looking inwards and outwards through the same compact structure. We are targeting this project towards subsidized housing and consider this a contribution towards our ultimate goal of trying to solve the problem of ‘Housing’. [Make no small plans…] We have high hopes for the Austin house and hope to launch it into the universe in the near future.
