18 foot tall Archway Print Demo

The proposed plans for 213 Third Avenue are really starting to take shape. Madco3d is in final preparations to print a demo section of the ground floor of this monumental building. If completed, it will be the first high rise in America to exhibit 3d printed elements. The crew at Madco is setting up to outdo themselves again, taking on an 18' tall concrete pillar that is estimated to weigh almost 4000 lbs. The print will be done in 3 sessions due to height and time limitations, which will be assembled and shipped off to the on-site location. The completed archway will serve as entrance, as well as a balcony section with composite fabricated floor. See the artist's renders depicting the final image of this groundbreaking construction.
